A
Custom Life
If
you could design one thing in your life
to your perfect, custom specification,
what would it be?
- A car?
- A house?
- A suit?
- A pair of boots?
We often think “custom” means “enormously
and unnecessarily expensive.” Perhaps we're
wrong. Not about everything. But, about some
things.
If
you designed your own car -- selected your favorite exterior
color, the interior leather that you love,
the walnut dashboard finish and the cup holders
in four positions instead of the standard
two, would that make a difference in your
life? Yes, it would. It would enhance your
comfort. It would provide a sense of uniqueness
and exclusivity. And, you would experience
a very personal joy each time you drove your
custom automobile. It would fit you...alone.
If
you designed a suit -- found a picture
in a magazine, bought that wonderful hi-tech
travel fabric that never wears out or wrinkles
in your most flattering color, took the
picture and the fabric to a tailor who
measured you and cut that suit to fit only
you, adding special pockets and trimmings
at your request, would that make a difference
in your life? Yes, it would. You would know
without a doubt that no one else would have
that exact outfit, no matter where you went.
You would know that the fit and function
were specifically designed to support you
and your lifestyle. You would have put
your unique, personal signature or your
custom touch on something that matters
in your life.
So, why don't you? Is it frivolous
or too expensive? Not necessarily. If you
could replace all the things in your closet
that you don't wear with a few fabulous,
custom pieces that would take you everywhere,
could you actually save money in the end?
Absolutely.
Owning
at least one custom piece that has been
designed and created for you and by you is
an experience. Each wearing will serve
as an acknowledgement and a reflection
of your uniqueness and individuality to
yourself and to the world.
