About Professional Etiquette
“Should I walk over and introduce myself?”
“Do I kiss, bow, or shake hands?”
“Which bread plate is mine?”
“Should I send a thank you note?”
“Which fork should I use?”
“Where do I leave my napkin if I get up to use the restroom?”
“Am I obligated to send a gift?”
“Must I invite her on-again, off-again beau?”
“Who should pay the check?”

EVERYONE suffers from some degree of anxiety about social situations.  Etiquette today is more complex in today’s global economy and environment.  Some circumstances are challenging, while others throw us so far off balance that recovering seems impossible.

You may find that you unintentionally offend someone, damage a relationship or, in the worst possible case, lose the raise, the promotion, the sale or your job.

Benefit to You
According to etiquette icon Emily Post, “Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others.  If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter what fork you use.”  While that may be true, you still need to know what fork to use.

Approach every situation with an aura of comfort, charisma and courtesy.  Know what to do and understand the rules of engagement to leverage every interaction.  Be of the world and make a lasting impression.  Be an enjoyable host and guest who always gets invited back.

How We Help
While there is no scientific evidence to prove that anyone ever died from embarrassment, we all wish we had at one time or another.  We can save you the risk.  Know the rules, know when you can bend them and know when you can break them with confidence and style.
